I left Europe and came to America for School(Wich is wors then the one back home by the way) and for a better life, and I was surprised to find out that actually it's worst then Europe.I am only 21 years old and I still have time to go back. But what about the people that don't have this advantage? When is it going to go back to "normal" if you can call it that way?

What were you thinking, leaving a pristine European community for the cesspool called the United State?

You should run for your life back to Europe and take all the America haters with you.

Bye now!

This is normal. Americans are on the apathetic and isolationist side, so to get thier attention, thier politicians and media need to constantly dream up one crisis or another and spray it all over the news.

Things in America aren't what they were in years between WWII and Woodstock, but they're not sucking particularly harder now than they did in, say, the mid 70s. Things are likely to get worse before they get better, while Europe is set to do pretty well for itself in the near term (excepting the issue of reverse colonization, that is*), so, sure, there's no need to nose around the US for a 'better life,' there's probably a perfectly good one waiting for you in the EU.

* Reverse colonization is a serious issue for the EU, it may well doom your culture within your own lifetime (since you're relatively young). But, staying here won't help, we're suffering a similar phenomenon, the buzzword for it is illegal immigration, but the effect will likely be the same.

Our economy will improve
greatly when we get all the
JOBS BACK that we sent to
other countries!!!
We must find a replacement for oil!!! There are many energy sources but the oil men
won't let us try them until we
are down to the last drop.
When we quit buying
$35,000 cars and $500,000
houses and every electronic
device we can get our hands on. When we grow our own food again instead of importing it from all over the world. When we keep spending
on the credit card with little or no income, pretty soon the
brown stuff will hit the fan!

The crisis will end and implosion will begin when the war in Iraq ends. Five years after those events might put us back on track to normalcy.

This is not hardly a "crisis".

The depression was a crisis. The days after 9/11 were a crisis.

Yeah, things have been better, yeah they'll get better again.

Do not expect that the US will always have the strongest most appealing economic environment. It won't.

Particularly with grade-A idiots at the helm.

Return to Commie Europe. We do not want your crybaby type to infect us here.

Here, billionaire or homeless, all outcomes come from your own labor and choices. Better off a bum in the US, than in the upper middle class of Europe.

Who knows how long it will last? But I can tell you things will immediately start to improve on 1/20/09.

Our crisis may get worse before it gets better.

Oil and energy costs are rising. Small Mortage companies are suffering, and large banks are starting to feel the pain too. The Dollar continues to weaken, as our National Debt continues to rise.

It needs to turn around soon, or it's gonna get worse.

Once over spending stops then people may start having confidence in the American dollar. Till then it will just get worst...
