I'll let you know tomorrow. I was surfing the same question. I opened cosmetics today and it's too dark for my skin tone. I'm taking it back with receipt in the morning and will let you know.

I mean, how are you supposed to get it right every time unless you buy the same product all the time? And who sticks with the same product forever? There are so many new and better products always coming out, plus our skin changes over time as well.

I actually was looking for L'Oreal Natural Beige cream foundation that I had been using a couple years and even took the empty container with me to buy the right stuff. Well Target didn't have the cream foundation so I bought the L'Oreal Natural Beige powder foundation. The powder is way darker on my skin than the cream. Same brand - different shade. Frustrating.

Fingers crossed they help a sister out.

If it has not been opened, then you can try to return it. Make sure you bring the receipt with you. As a general rule, opened cosmetics cannot be returned because of health department regulations.

If you didn't open it or if it truly was bad mascara (something wrong with it).
If you opened it and just don't like it that's not a reason they'll accept and you'll just have to live with it.

Target is too picky with their refunds. I wouldn't even try.
