every morning, i get kicked out the door, and wish i had more free time in the morning. My dad was able to get out the door in 18 minutes when he was in collage, and it takes me like 50 minutes! I get up, get clothes, shower, dress, wash face & dry hair, eat breakfast, brush teeth, get my bags and go! I need help trimming my morning routine, any suggestions?

Try setting things out the night before. Pick out what you want to wear and stack everything (everything!) in a pile on the bathroom sink. That way, when you wake up, you can go into the bathroom, immediately shower and jump right out to get dressed. Wash your face while you are in the shower, just be sure to do it after you wash your hair (in case the shampoo does not 'get along' with your skin). Right after you get out and get dressed, don't leave the bathroom yet! Dry your hair right then. Now, when you go downstairs, have what you want to eat already set up (in the fridge or out, depending) so you can just sit and eat it or grab it to go. That way, it takes the thinking out of it. And make sure to get your bags together and sit them and your shoes (with your socks in them) by the door in the evening. This way, you know you are not forgetting anything (because you got it all together the night before). If you usually brush your teeth upstairs, that is making a whole 'nother trip...keep the supplies downstairs in the bathroom, or even in the kitchen. That way you are saving yourself many travels from room to room in the course of the morning. And use a timer if you think you are killing time with certain things. My showers used to run rather long, but now I have a little timer that tells me when my time is up. I can be up, showered, dressed, made-up (I am a girl!), hair done, brushed teeth, lunch and breakfast taken care of, bag together, dogs out and re-locked up, shoes on, out the door in 25 minutes flat!

The night before have the clothes you are going to wear out so you don't have to look for them. Have your breakfast all set out so you can eat, don't take long showers, get in--get out. Dry your hair, dress and have all your bags sitting by the door, so again you don't have to round them up. If you must get up 10 minutes earlier.

This is what I use to do when I was in highschool. I would lay the clothes out that I wanted to wear the next day. I would set my clock ten minutes fast(just to make sure I had time). I always had to shower in the mornings, it just made me feel better. So, shave your legs and all that good stuff the night before and try to take a 5 minute shower. O wait your a guy!!lol Sorry I guess u dont shave your legs

I shower and dry my hair at night before I go to bed, because I like sleeping in. Also, if you don't already, pack your bags the night before and leave them by the door.
Other than that, I haven't got a whole lot of advice for you. Sometimes it just takes some people longer than others to get ready.

If there are any things that you can do the night before to help like showering/washing hair...get bag ready ect. Then you have less to do when you wake up.
