1. Elements. Any element - alkalis, gases, metal ions etc.
2. They bond in some form. Bonding is the sharing or donating of electrons between elements.
3. There are 4 bonds that occur between molecules. Covalent bonds are the strongest and it is where molecules share valence electrons. Ionic bonding is when an atom gives up one or more electron to another element to fill their valence shells. Next on the strength list is Hydrogen bonding which is the dipole attraction between a partial positive charge on a bonded hydrogen atom and a partial negative charge on an oxygen, nitrogen, or sulfer molecule. The weakest interaction is Van der Waals interactions which result from instantaneous charge density changes in an electron cloud and are very weak.
