i have to write a paper on it. The question is if you are under 18 should you be tried as and adult or a juvinile? Should it depend on what or how bad the crime they commited was?

69....I just like that number and it does depend on how bad the crime is...usually multiple murders or torture.

Look it up on the web....try Wiki as a starting point but take it with a pinch of salt because a fair amount of it is written by muppets who know nothing of what they write. Oh and never cite it as your source for that reason.

Good luck.

Depends on the crime and the childs level of understanding right from wrong; usually 14 is considered the minimum age of complete reason, but this varies from child to child.

Generally, I believe in the vast majority of cases, 18 should still be considered an adult unless there are heavily aggravating circumstances involved. If someone under 18 commits a crime, it is usually the result of poor or negligent parenting.

In some cases I would be in favor of trying the parents instead of the kid for the crime the kid committed.

Well of course it should depend on the crime because then kids that commit small crimes at say age 11 could be charged as an adult at age 25.

18, no a child shouldn't by trialed as an adult, there have been cases of children being charged as adults and being put away for life. is that relay fair on the child no matter how bad a crime they committed.
developmentally your brain stops growing around 24-25, this is because the last place to fully develop is the frontal lobe which contains the part of the brain that processes risk and danger, this is why teenagers normally get themselves into risky situations.

Depends on the crime. In addition, it should depend on the personality and upbringing of the kid. 16 is good because an arbitrary age needs to begin somewhere.

Depending on the crime and the minor's understanding of right and wrong...I could see going as low as 13.
