I made my decision to attend another university in the spring in michigan and then transfer to university of wisconsin-madison. My chemistry teacher at my college has a phd in chemistry at ohio state and a bachelors degree in physics. When I showed him the work expectance, homework, and the exams that I took at u of m compared to wisconsin-madison he admitted that there was a major difference and that he understands why michigan was a pain in the butt? So guys if ranto or taranto gives you information on college he does not know what he is talking about?

I think Taranto gives plenty of sound advice. Everyone is free to make their own decisions. But what I like is that he doesn't sugar coat it for you.

So if you don't like what Taranto says, you are always free to pick someone else as Best Answer.

Y!A is about democratizing information. You are bound to disagree with some things and agree with others. Education rankings are subjective. Harvard might be great, but it's not for everyone, even if you're a super genius (in which case you're better off at Berkeley).
