I remember Captain Kangaroo but not the cartoons.

That's a great idea to find and save for future generations. Those old ones don't hold a candle to the chaotic ones we see today.

I remember them so well and the Sunday night Disney special do you all remember that? With the little guy Jimmey Kricket? I used to just love to watch what ever they would have on that night. I was recently looking to see where I could buy a copy of those old cartoons and you can get them on DVD.

I didn't save the site because if you google vintage cartoons you will find many sites.

Since your name is Daisey I thought immediately of the Sadie Hawkins Dance in L'il Abner.

Wasn't Daisey May the young lady after Abner all the time?

Traditionally, the Sadie Hawkins dance occurs during the autumn in November, NOW!!! Often Nov 15th.

The Sadie Hawkins dance is also known as a "snow ball", 'Morp', "vice-versa", 'turnabout', "TWIRP", or a 'Tolo".

It is usually a school dance, frequently occurring in high schools, in which female students invite male students.

This is in opposition of normal school dance traditions, such as prom, where male students invite female students.

At a Sadie Hawkins dance, couples are normally easily distinguishable because of their matching clothes.

Besides proms and homecoming dances, this is one of the greatest dance traditions of most high schools!

So go for Abner, Daisey, befor Sadie gets him!!!
