Do you capitalize igneous, sedimentary, and metamorphic rocks. Like to u capitalize the i in igneous? I am writing a paper and im not sure if i capitalize it, Thanx!

No, it's not a name of a person, place, or thing. For instance, Jonathan would be, or Trump would be, or the Great Wall of China would be, but simply wall wouldn't be. It's not a name so you shouldn't. If it is at the beginning of a sentence, then you should obviously.

No, you don't capitalize them. You can check spelling/capitalization of words with the American Heritage Dictionary of the English Language at http://www.bartleby.com/61/
