Difficult question, Pele did not play leaugue football in Europe, but given his international career starting with World Cup in Sweden and many others against the hardest defenders he wasn`t proved wanting, many tried to kick him off the pitch but he made many look stupid
Bobby Moore reckoned he was the best player he ever played against. The only reason he didn`t come to Europe, was money, Cosmos offered him a fortune.
By the way an unlikely nominee for best player of all time is Gordon Banks, I`ll never foget him scooping the ball off the line in the 70 World Cup from a Pele header.

Why are you so radical? Pele is the greatest soccer player in the soccer´s history. He proved that in many world cups, including some there, in the europe, against the european defenders. So, Pele is the better. I bet you never matched 1000 goals!

Europeans, Europeans, always so arrogants... because he never played in Europe, so he can't be the greatest, what kind of argument is that...?
1. Why are you talking about American league? Pelé only played 1 or 2 seasons in the US, in the end of his career. Most of the time he played in Brazil.
2. Pelé won the 1958 and 1970 playing against Europeans, and he crushed them (I'm not counting the 1962 world cup because Pelé was hurted in 2nd match of that cup).
3. Pelé won the clup South American-European championship in 1962 and 1963 playing against the Europeans Milan and Benfica
4. Pelé is known because mostly because of the he did in the Brazilian national team, not in the Brazilian league (actually, at that time there was no Brazilian league, only a Brazilian cup with the winners of each state).
5. At that time no South Americans or Africans were playing in European leagues, that means = YOU SUCKED. Do you think Pelé would be greater playing against fat drunk English players?? Gime a break.

loosely worded as usual. he was the greatest at doing what he did. a great showman. loved his flips and overhead strikes. none have done it better. what an acrobat. but sports likethat are not high on my lists of important things to do or even keep up with. horses are far more interesting. to me, anyway. my white arabian is so much more interest. she could easily beat pele or any of the others. penelope is a genius and an astound athlete.
humans we are stuck with these monkey-like little weak bodies but 1500 pound mare that can run 40 mph is more impressive. plus she can do kool tricks and rides like a dream. it isjust her mane is such a pain. combing and brushing hour after hour. but penelope is a beauty.

It was Maradona, he won the World cup with an average Argentinean team single handed. While Pele had great players round him in the Brazil team.
Maradona played in Europe week in week out against the best players. Did Pele?

pele would...... maybe stopped by.... god and only god.. nobody else ......how can people try to compare god...pele ....with any other soccer player ;..... just imagine that he had his first soccer ball at 15 ...and at 16 he was called to play for the national team of brazil .....pele today would be the best player ever for sure if he was 13 years old..............today,s players you touch them and they fall and act like they were killed .....pele would be killed and still be running with the ball........sorry people wake up .........you only going to see pele again in his next life....yes..... maradona was a clear second but 10 classes below pele. and messi 3 classes below maradona and cristiano 2 classes below messi.

Titi Henry scored 200 plus goals....so what compared to him.Gerrard is SO OVERRATED.What did he do in the 'final' last year against AC Milan or last week against Arsenal The Untouchables besides scoring the goal HUH?!!The only one who can challenge PELE THE GOD OF FOOTBALL is THE HAND OF GOD maradona...but did't he cheated. And looks whos FAT now.while Pele still looks in good shape at what 50!!!
