were in a car accident together.i have a permenent injury,and my wife had some minor injuries.other driver totally at fault,received 3 summonses to boot.my ques. is when they determine my pain and suffering of settlement will the lawyer go after pain and suffering for my wife also ,as she was in the car and has to live the rest of her life with me

if you as a couple are suing then yes
if its just you idk most likly though
the other driver has to pay for everything he caused
no matter who it was
so if he caused you and your wife pain and suffering then u both shall be payed a sum the judge decides or agrees with how much you want
if the judge is honest and fair and u were both following every law then yes youll both receive compensation

I think you're lawyer will see the benefit of approaching each persons injury as separate but related to the same accident. You were injured, she was injured. If your attorney has yet to broach this avenue then you need a new lawyer.

Yes, I forgot the term but yes. She could have sued on her own behalf and your lawsuit and her would have been separate and they couldn't mention it in court. She can receive money because you can't do the things that you used to do with her; your children can receive money for the same reasons as your wife.

who received 3 summons? if you did, you are being sued. and yes its called a consortium claim.

i don't understand what you're asking, are you worried that because you have this permanent injury that your wife won't find you appealing anymore?
