Peoples definintion of emo! People think that emo people
1) Usually wear girls pants, wether they're boys or girls
2) usually have black hair
and most of all, people seem to think that if someone is emo, they cut themselves: and if someone cuts themselves, then they're emo..
That is really annoying.

No, it is not mostly true! The majority of emo people I know, you couldn't tell that they're emo just by looking at them!

This does annoy me. People are so stereotypical, they think emo is just wearing black and cutting yourself. Half of them have NO clue what they're talking about. Emo is not a fashion style, it is much more than that.

I'll go back and check the other question but this all seems more "goth." I do know that the EMO kids at my son's high school were wearing very tight black pants. The "cutting" part is a serious issue (which has been happening for many many years and not related to a particular clique of people).......NONE OF IT MATTERS THOUGH ---- everyone will grow out of this stuff regardless. I have nieces who have (2 of them)....and I know others who did too. The "cutting" issue is a totally separate issue that needs to be dealt with immediately.

Are you emo? Why are you so emotional about question? Yea, there are stereotypes, just like everything else. If you define yourself as "emo" wether it be that attitudes, behaviors, dress, music, etc, then that's perfectly okay. No, I don't find it annoying because it isn't something that negatively impacts my life. But if you feel strongly about this, why don't you define what "EMO" is?

Many people call me emo because I wear black clothing, and since I recently dyed my hair dark. I'm not emo. I'm pretty sure they're joking around but they're just stereotyping my on appearance.

it somewhat is gotta be the human beings on there. not all of them, basically people who scent or shout or consume crisps and crunch very loud!! Oh and people who stand on the front chatting with the driving force whilst he's rather utilising! they might reason a crash!! My bus tale must be greater of a bus end tale. the different day it substitute into p'in it down I have been given to the bus end (between the tiny ones on the fringe of the line) and human beings have been already status in there. They left no room for me. Then, 2 previous women folk got here and the family contributors interior the bus end pronounced "come and stand in here", leaving me interior the rain. So by potential of the time the bus ultimately got here (late lower back) i substitute into soaked and rather p'd off and the crappy previous women folk pushed in front of me and took the final seats so I had to stand and flow to artwork sopping wet! Dam previous women folk think of they have the main appropriate to push in basically because of the fact they are previous!! thank you for the possibility to rant, i mandatory it!

well, emo's DO cut themeselves. that's what emo MEANS. SCENESTERS are people who DO dress like that, typically, because they LIKE it, but they dont cut. People who say non cutter's are emo, is ridiculous, and it's also ridicoulos that anyone who has black hair is emo in some people's opinion, because the preppy, bitchy cheerleader with the blonde hair could be emo.

my defenitin of emo is emotionaly hardcore meaning that they can get sad easy.. or happy easy.. and there music is mostly hardcore or screamo like

hawthrone heights, billy talent, stuff like that

also anyone can basically fit into emo catorgory cuz emos are nice and accept people....mostly
