I just got my prescription today, and I'm kinda wondering about other peoples experiences with this pill. Also, when is the best time to start it? Also, what happens if your period starts while your still taking the pink pills?

:) Thanks!

The best time to start Alesse (and even with other pills) is the first Sunday after the most recent period finishes. Some packs (and Alesse may be one of them based on what I've noticed with other brands of pills) allow the woman to pick a day she wants to start as long as it is after her period ends.

If the period starts while on the hormone pills it can mean that the body is trying to adjust to the changes going on inside of it.

As for best time of day to take it, I would recommend taking the pill in the evening because that minimizes the potential for having nausea like sometimes can occur if one takes it in the a.m.

I would recommend checking with your doctor as well to see what they say.
