Having an IUI on next ovulation cycle...wanting to hear successful stories with IUI. Any one have success on their first try? Does it hurt? WHat should I know going in?

My best friend and her hubby tried for about 4 yrs. They were on clomid for a year and they just weren't getting pregnant. So the Dr told them that if they tried it once that it was a pretty good Change. They did and got 1 baby. A boy who is now 4... I also have 3 people I work with, 2 of them took the first time and the 3 one on the 2 time! Hope that helps! Keep ur chin up!!!

I am a result of this, so is my brother. My mom said it didn't hurt. She said it felt kinda like a pap smear. The success rate is between 15-25% each cycle, which is just slightly lower than conceiving naturally.
