Yes, definitely.
So-called "minorities" (whether based on race or gender) are singled out and given special attention, leaving white males out in the cold. God forbid that white males should get any kind of special treatment whatsoever - after all that would be racism.

Yes & No.
No, because most of the money & political power in America is still controled by White males. But I would also say yes because White males are discriminated against through affirmative action. And there are those stupid jackasses Al Sharpton & Jesse Jackson who blame all of the black community's problems on the White man.

No, minority requires a group to be lesser than the majority.
A re-phrase is in order for this question. These scholarships do not pay half as well as academic scholarships and are difficult to get! It's not special treatment, ANYONE can offer money for certain criteria. In the bussiness and technology arena where all of the high paying jobs are white males are not discriminated against. Remember this... Most of the wealthy people are white males actually. There is no argument.

According to the most recent census, whites are still approximately 73% of the US population. Projections suggest that if the current immigration and birth rates continue, there will fewer whites than Hispanics (many of whom are also wht), but there will still be far fewer blacks than both groups. So, to answer your question, neither white males nor white females are a numerical racial minority in this country. They are, however, the minority globally.
Additionally, the word is not just a euphemism for numbers, it's a reference to political and economic power. In this, whites are still the overwhelming majority.

Sure seems like it sometimes. I went to a Dominos Pizza in Miami a while back, and the English version of the menu was in small print, right under the large Spanish version.
Now before you go crazy, I don't have a problem with their being a Spanish version, just make them the same. This is America dammit.

Oh yeah white males are the new minority. I mean it's tough for them seeing that on average they get paid more than minorities and women and they have been the only type of people to be president. It sucks that most of the CEO's and government officials in this country fall under their category and it's a total bummer that they have had such a long track record of success. Being a white male in America, so much oppression!!!!

To answer your question I think white males have been the minority for some time now. In fact I remember some 7-8 years ago the topic came up as to whether we should do away with affirmative action as it had maybe become obsolete. Of course the govt. didn't do away with it, I am not sure why. So in terms of employment I would say yes! Because they have to hire so many minorities and in actuality the white race is a minority as of this year based on previous years and statistical forecasts for 2012.

Yes, white males are the new minority. I have seen this happen time and time again.
Example:White male trains for a position at a company. The position comes open and a black male with no training get the position bc he is too lazy to handle his job. This came from a supervisors mouth.
Company hires 12 people. 2 of them are white males, the rest are black men and women. Many qualified white men applied.
I could go on and on.

"Minority" as in a group which is oppressed and discriminated against on a daily basis? Yes.
"Minority" as in an actual minority of numbers? Not quite, although in some areas we are and if we are not careful we will be nationwide.
