For some reason, it's never stated that his '17%' tax is from investments, not income.
He can send a check for $12 or $13 Million to the IRS to make up for his unfair taxes anytime he wants. But, that will never happen.

Uh excuse me but do you have a freaking clue about all the philanthropic work Buffet has done and is doing through the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, I think that says much about what he's trying to do for the "Normal everyday tax payer" God some people will slander anyone to try to justify the unjustifiable

I believe he gives and works a lot with charity... which a lot probably goes to normal, everyday, taxpayer people...
the other issue is... if you lowered everyone rates by that much... there probably wouldn't be enough money to fund programs he feels are needed...

The United States treasury will gladly accept donations. Anyone who feels he is not paying his fair share is free to give as much of his money as he wishes so his guilty liberal conscience can be appeased.
This shows how evil liberalism is. Mr. Buffet chooses to not give what he thinks he should, yet he says others should be forced to surrender their money.

You are slashing the republicans myth about taxes with that question. He's investing, which to my understanding, creates jobs, that helps the everyday taxpayer, no? I thought you guys were capitalists? Why the animosity towards the man? Is he doing something that other extremely wealthy people don't do?

You must not be paying attention. Buffet has donated $37 billion or 85% of his personal wealth to charity. Most of his donations will benefit education and healthcare. If that's not walking the talk I don't know what is.

We are running budget deficits. Buffett is saying that Bush's tax cuts for the wealthiest Americans were unnecessary and harmful. We are all becoming more indebted because the deficits are being made up through more borrowing.
