the Venetian is much nicer and newer. They are opening the new section in December, the Palazzo and that is going to be real nice. The rooms at the Venetian are suites so they are more expensive but much better than the rooms at the Mirage. The Mirage is starting to show it's age.

Apples and pears. There is NO COMPARISON between the two. Mirage is an older Vegas casino/hotel, still in great condition and offers a lot too boot BUT, the Venetian has MUCH more to see & do. So I say Venetian. Gondola rides, Grand Canal Shoppes, Fine dining restaurants, enormous casino and soon to be the largest on the strip after expanding! Also, it in the middle of the strip, close to everything and makes it easier to walk. It's also right next door to my all-time fave casinos, the Wynn and Paris. Be sure to check them out too.

Dude I used to live in Las vegas my dad used to work in the casino
I been to every hotel and casino
so go with me when I say the Miragage my parents used to take me there all the time

Both are pretty much the same, Venetian is a bit nicer, but you will pay more for it.
I do like the Mirage myself, but my favorites are the Luxor and the Monte Carlo.
