What state is the best place to find lots of materials for a house?

i need to know where i can get items for a house all in one location.
items such as windows, doors, walls, and types of things used for a house.
like bamboo, wood, logs, etc.

like states in the U.S. that you can easily find materials at [name some states in the U.S.]

I'll give some of my points to answer one, :)...and wonder, where do you live? AND is this your first contact with the outside world? No offense.

Since you use the word STATE I want desperately to assume you mean in the USA.

There isn't too many corners of this country where you can't have access to EVERYTHING. The very simple answer would be Home Depot or Lowes initially. Obviously there are companies that specialize; IE: Doors/ windows/ etc. BUT>>> you did say STATE; NOT STORE.

Chances are you can purchase these items near to wherever you are. Unless you live in an altered state and then who cares !
