Yes and no.
Awards go out via kayfabe, and while Santino is the best entertainer, he only held the title for a short time, and doesn't compete often.

I should note to everybody that MVP was wrestling in the WWE in 2006. So that doesn't make him a 2007 rookie.
The person who should be rookie of the year is Santino or one of the major brothers.

Though Santino Marrrrrella is The MAIN Reason I Watch RAW, I Think The Rookie of the Year Award Should Go To CM Punk. (IF you Consider him a Rookie, Even Though he Was a God in RoH.) He Went From Being in Cena's Wrestlemania 22 Entrance, To Prefroming Drug Free Promos on ECW, To Becoming The ECW World Champ. And a Worthy One at That.

Yea, he won the Ic Belt(even though lashely helped him), he is the funniest wrestler in all of pro wrestling today. he has said some very funny stuff that people always remeber. also he is the only guy in the WWE That has the Balls to make fun of Stone Cold Steve Austin.

hell ya...the guy is great on the mic and he won the ic title from umaga....santino marella is the future of the wwe...he has the greatest mic skills in the wwe besides mvp heel wise....probably the fastest heel to get over with the fans besides the rock....

Heck no. He hardly ever wrestles - just picks fights with Ron Simmons and Stone Cold. If you consider someone who hardly wrestles for a Rookie of the Year, then you gotta throw in Vickie Guerrero too, lol.

Nope. Not unless, of course, that was the "Most Annoying Rookie of the Year" award. For my money, the best rookie all around is Cody Rhodes.
