I do not think that a man can teach anything to a woman unless she is willing to learn it. It is not any mans place to teach a woman how to behave submissively unless she wishes to be taught.Submission needs to be earned by this man and it needs to be freely given by this woman.

God doesn't intend that at all. Biblically speaking it states that an ideal relationship is like two oxen pulling a single cart. This analogy implies that both the man and woman in a relationship need to work together as a team to make it through the obstacles in life.

God intended me to be submissive? Then why does he allow me to think for myself?
I think I see it as respecting the man and what he says, but if I feel it is not right, I will not follow.

Maybe you need a man to tell you what to do, have dinner on the table when he gets home, get an "allowance" and have him decide the number of kids you both should have.
Not all women share your opinion of what a marriage or relationship should be.

It depends on the couple. If that's the way they want things, then that's the way it should be. Again, it should be the sole discretion of those involved. And, judging from most of these answers, I now see why so many relationships fail with all these other answerers trying to dictate to you or anyone else how to manage their relationships...
