Tthree things I can think of.
One, that you have an intermittent short somewhere that is draining your battery (loose wire, bad insulation, etc).
Two, your alternator (generator) is failing to recharge your battery at the prescribed rate, so the battery looses charge when in use.
Three have you had installed a cd/radio or an alarm system that might bypass the ignition, so its on when the car isn't? This could cause a drain on the battery too.

If you're driving this and the lights get dimmer and dimmer it's definitely your alternator or the wiring leading to the alternator.

check to make sure that all of your lights are turned off all of the time including but not limited to the one in the glove box when the door is closed, have some one check all of your exterior lights as well including the backup lights, if you are still having problems, the only other things in that circuit are bad battery cables, bad alternator, bad ground connection from the batery to the engine block

The alternator may not be working. The alternator charges the battery so you should have that checked out.

Sounds like a bad alternator. Get it going, go to Kragen have them test it for free. If you are handy, it is not that tough to replace an alternator although it may be a challenge on a van.
Good luck...
