It's not the greatest job market. They had some boom years in the high tech industry a while ago, but it has quieted down a lot. It's a relatively small city, just doesn't have the same # of job opportunities as NY, Chicago, LA, etc...

i used to live in the denver area
could not find a job in my field (media)
finally had to settle w/ retail, just to have some income
moved to SF and w/in 5 days was hired in my field
