I have just had a baby 5 months ago. I want to work from home, and start a self-business as a recruitment agency from home on my own.
I have worked in sales for 4 years before, so I think I can do it. However I have a lot of distractions and my mind is all over the place. Also I doubt myself if that's a good idea to start from now, or wait until the baby is 12 months and then start.
What do you think?
At the same time, I have problems with my husband too, mainly in the fact that he isn't interested in me sexually and we haven't slept together for 14 months. So that makes me very depressed and lowers my self-esteem. But I want to start and I believe that people can do wonders in very hard situations.

Do you think I can do it?

I think you need to triage your problems then begin to worry about the solutions to said problems.

Starting a business will create it's own set of problems. So stop ignoring the problems in the rest of your life, and start working on the solutions. Then go forth and start a business.

Good luck.

It's not really what I or anyone else thinks, but you come across as very double-minded. If you really want it, then go for it. But self-doubt will just sabotage your efforts. Yes, being a mum to a very young baby is hard. Yes, not having your hubby want sex for so long is hard. Is it hard enough for it to stop you from achieving? Only you can decide. One thing that is good, is that working from home, you can make your own hours, wear what you want, even breastfeed baby while being on the computer. So, it does offer a lot of freedom, but the same thing makes it disadvantageous. Will you be able to concentrate while looking after baby? Are you the type of person who gets distracted easily with the housework, or TV, etc? Just weigh things up and then decide. It is not a bad thing to wait a little longer.

Lol, i never thought to get this question in my mailbox.

You can start right away being your own boss.
And since you are good making sales, i got the right business for you. i would like to e-mail you, but i don't have your e-mail.
So i guess i'll tell you. The business is very easy but you must work.
I'm 22 yrs old, i live independently, i worked in construction and found out about the opportunity of herbalife. After trying out some companies like quick star, primerica, nuskin\ pharmanex, omnilife. I think Herbalife is the best one, and the one that is changing me, the products are very very easy to sell, i can say that it sells by themselves, because i'm helping people with their health problems, and everyday i call people and they thank me, since they feel better.
For your surprise i started the business 3 weeks ago, started working after work from 6 to 8pm, 2 hours a day, first telling my friends about what i got into. after 4 days i was already making sales, then after 1 week i made my first order of $500 dollars. and my profit was almost $300 dollars. This is 4th week and my second order was of $700 dollars, my profit has been almost $450 dollars. The good thing is that it keeps on growing, and now i quit my job riskly knowing that if i don't move. i will have to go back to a new job. So i'm dedicating 80% into sales and 20% into building my business. This is a multi-level marketing company. My mother was fat, she lost over 15 pounds in 3 weeks. and i am lean but have gained over 3 pounds in a week. The products are natural, no chemicals. The products sells hot.
It's up to you. My goal is getting rich in 12 months, if i work as i have planned, i should be getting around $10,000 a month in 12 months. It's easy to get there, but you need to build.
Right now i'm building a msn space at:

http://defused.spaces.live.com/

I will show my success for a period of 12 months. i will try hard. you can start now and work some hours from your home, there is not much paperwork. so find out, if you want to i can get you into it, and be your advisor, i will assist you into everything, to make sure you get some cash. inmediately.
