Bush has detroyed the americans reputation internationally.
The US once seen as a powerful country that defended the small and lived for peace, freedom and prosperity. Now its seen as a powerfull country that takes whatever it wants, when it wants it.
The US does not respect the UN, the OAS, did not respect Irak, etc. There is no one that can face against the US without great suffering and the US seems to take advantage of it.
But even so he got reelected. Does this mean that americans are bellicose? I keep hearing that "American people is one thing but american goverment is another!" or that "americans are very much against the goverment actions" Yet the people voted again for this goverment.
Can any one explain how come Bush was supported by american people after he had comitted one of the biggest attrocities in modern history with Irak?

I have read your responses. I got it, I understand now. Most americans ARE bellicose and american people, most of them, ARE like the goverment.
Pity on you and everything you once represented. Now, now don't go aroung baby crying when you get attacked.
You can keep on answering here and boasting about your great power. Eventually you will learn that war has only one end: Death. And if that is what you do best, then that is what you will get.
For the americans that are for peace, freedom and justice. I wish you recover your country soon so that once again we can feel proud of the great USA.

Nah, I think you miss the point. Americans are not hungry for more war. However, we are willing to stand up for what's right, even when it is costly.
Bush got re-elected only because the Democrats put up a candidate who was an embarrassment, and who was seriously out of step with the American people. Americans do not support socialism, and until Democrats realize this, they will continue to lose big races.

In a word Fraud. There was a massive campaign to overthrow the Democratic institutions from before Y2K to the present day.
Unfortunately the Internet was not very big and organized in Y2K and most Americans were not aware of what they had done. Fortunately the Internet has grown in knowledge and sophistication since then and there is a push back against the antidemocratic forces.
There is far more than can be put in a response but here are several links that go into great detail in various aspects of Election Fraud, though some go into other points as well.

Where to start.....You're right; the American people does not respect the UN; it's a waste of money! Iraq didn't respect the UN, either, apparently, since it violated every single one of the UN resolutions put in place to end the first Iraq war, but people like you think we should just ignore that. The only time people like you think we should "respect" the UN is when we're doing what you want us to do.
Secondly, if you think that the war in Iraq is "one of the biggest atrocities in modern history," then you obviously know little about modern history.
Third, I supported President Bush the first and second time he ran for President. I think he is still doing a great job. He doesn't care, nor do I, what you people think about us. He does what needs to be done in the best interest of our country, which is what he was elected to do. No President should be out there kissing the world's butt to make them like us. That's not what the President is about nor should it be. Perhaps if the rest of the world doesn't like us, it may be an indication that we finally have a President who is doing the job he was elected to do.
It was a lot easier with some past Presidents for you people to get away with your attacks and have a President wave his finger at you and tell you not to do it again--and do nothing else. This President doesn't stand for those who attack us. He's not going to stand by and allow you to get away with acts of war on us without fighting back. Scares ya, doesn't it? Good!

The skillfull use of fear.
"the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same way in any country."

I believe he had enough people in place to steal the votes he needed. He certainly wasn't elected with his pathetic approval rating, now about 24%, or his borderline moron IQ 91, or his service record, AWOL more often than not, or the new record of most vacation days in one term, or a non-war longer than WW ll. Not the kind of awe-inspiring campaign one has come to expect.

Well it is like this Senator Kerry.
Bush took the war to the terrorists.
When the world loved us bin laden ploted 9/11 so there is no big reward in it for us to be loved.
After the tsumia who show up first the US any thanks... nope.
Typical world response when they need us they want us now but when they don't they throw stones.
UN you mean the group that put some of the worst countries in the world for human rights violations in charge of investigating human rights violations...Yea yea tell me another one.
Attrocities we weren't the ones who filled the mass graves it was saddam.
Oh well I will leave you to look at your medals.

Believe it or not, some Americans do love him and support his politics. I am not one of those people. I think he, personally, is a friggin terrorist, a war hungry terrorist, benefiting only his own pockets.
He is not "for" the average American.

The United States is still seen as a great country and President Bush is a great President who always does what he says and what he believes in.The US had no choice but to go after Bin Laden after 9/11 and Afghanistan was given the choice to turn him over. And for your claim the US takes what it wants,I don't see us taking anything from Iraq, instead I see our men and women shedding their blood for the Iraqi people to have freedom from terrorists who would force their beliefs on them.Americans love leaders who do what they say and what they believe in,that seems to be a lost trait in most world leaders.
