I have to write an essay and i need a good thesis so it follows the rest of my essay. most of my essay consists of freedoms and rights, and the wealthiness of an american. i need to another main topic and a good thesis. suggestions plz?

The wealth of a people throughout American history, and the dependence on economy, has led to the formation of a dominant cultural identity-the white male heterosexual Christian--who, while coming to this nation to find freedom and exercise rights of citizenship, has also led to the denial of freedoms and rights to members of minority status.

This includes:
Slavery at the expense of the African-American
Westward expansion at the expense of the
Native Americans
Anti-Semitism at the expense of the Jews
Male inequality at the expense of the females
Child Labor at the expense of children
Migrant worker domination at the expense of Mexican-Latin Americans

This cuts across such economic domains as politics/government, business leadership/laws/pay, professional sports, the media, organized religions, the military, et al.

Those of minority status have had to obtain wealth in order to buy the rights others see as natural to them...it takes money to advertise, money to coalesce others, money to obtain power to change the system.

Aother good theis is equality, unless you stick that in with freedoms or rights. If it has to be a certain length I would throw that in there somewhere! :)
