At the end of the day, you are only as good as your record- Federer is way ahead- your rank- Federer holds the record for being number one, so he is ahead there- and level of respect- Sampras, Agassi, McEnroe, and Lavar have gone on record as saying he is the best ever to play the game. With all of that in mind, you have to say Federer is the best........ Now is Nadal the best Clay Court Specialist of all time? Maybe, but Googa might argue that he is the best.... We'll see if Nadal can make it four French Opens and break his tie with the Brazilian.

Based on match record Feder but I think Nadal has a better game especially on clay.

I think federer is way better than nadal. Federer's tactics and mechanick outmatch nadal's but nadal's forceful strategies and expertise on clay have bested federer before. Personally, i dont really like either, I really like djokovic, he is funny, and a great tennis player.

federer - federer won many more titles but even though i am a huge fan of federer, he will probable crack soon and nadal and djokovic will be competing for the #1 spot. but no one knows how much longer federer will keep winning- but for now, federer is better than nadal...but in a few years, that might change...but dont forget about djokovic...also, nadal is better in clay, but people can push him around on hard courts...soon, djokovic or nadal will be #1

I love them both :) but I love Nadal more... but I think Federer is the more complete player hence in that respect... i think both players are the best.. but Federer would be the better.

Federer is better than Nadal on all surfaes except clay.
So overall Federer is best.

hummm federer is more consistent than nadal, he can play great in all surfaces and nadal is the best on clay.. nadal can beat federer but federer is the master!
