I have scanned the word problem and the scratch work I did on it.

My hand writing is horrendous so I am going to retype the answers I got here:

x=# of cookies-plain
y=# of Iced cookies

f(x,y)=1.5x+2y
x>0
y>0
.1x+.15<15
x+y<140
x+.7<110 which equals x<109.3
.4y<32 which equals y<80

(x,y) 1.5x+2y f(x,y)

(0,0) 1.5(0)+2(0) 0
(30,80) 1.5(30)+2(80) 205
(109.3,407/15) 1.5(109.3)+2(407/15) 13093/60
109.3,0) 1.5(109.3)+2(0) 163.95

Here is the link to the graph I needed to make to find the above information: http://img212.imageshack.us/img212/1553/graphlj8.jpg

I really need someone to check my work. I been over it a dozen of times and I still feel it is wrong. Please check it and tell me if I did anything wrong

compare:

dozens: x + y ≤ 140
dough: 1x + 0.7y ≤ 110 .... there's your error
icing: 0x + 0.4y ≤ 32 .... there's other error
time: 0.1x + 0.15y ≤ 15

profit( price-cost): 1.50x + 2.00y

You're gonna hate yourself! Your inequality

x + .7 ≤ 110

should be

x + .7y ≤110

Otherwise, your inequalities are correct. (You mistyped .1x+.15y≤15 as .1x+.15≤15 above, but you have the inequality correct in your handwritten version.)
