Rex flies to Parkes airport from Sydney domestic airport. It takes about a hour. I have put a link to a website where you can find a flight for the day you will travel. Also found the website for Rex.

By car it will take about 4 and a half hours without stops. If you are going to drive i recommend taking the whole day and stopping along the way at tourist points. The last website is a good resource for maps and directions.

I hope this helps. Feel free to message me if you want to know more. Enjoy your trip. :)

It will take between three and four hours to drive to Parkes from Sydney. Sydney - Bathurst - Orange - Molong - Parkes. It is a lovely drive with lots to see on the way. Depending on where you live in Sydney it might take you almost as long to get to the airport, wait for the flight, fly to Parkes, disembark, wait for your baggage and then get from the airport to Parkes.

i could have theory that in case you were utilizing between Sydney and Parkes each 2 weeks you may have observed the cities you force by way of on the way and could understand what replace into 0.5 way devoid of having to invite. in case you have been utilizing from Sydney to Parkes with the help of Canberra, it extremely isn't any ask your self you have been looking the holiday tiring. As you the two for sure force alongside with your eyes closed it may in all likelihood be ultimate in case you stopped at Bathurst.you may choose to purchase a map first to make certain the place it extremely is.

REX (Regional Express) fly there from Sydney. Depends when you departe and arrive, it'll cost you at least $100 each way. See http://www.rex.com.au

For more details about the airport see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Parkes_Airport and http://www.parkes.nsw.gov.au/roads/1204/5409.html

Driving - From Sydney CBD, take the bridge and then follow the signs to Lane Cove Tunnel. Then, continue on motorway 2 and then Westlink (motorway 7). After 35km from the tunnel take the exit to Richmond Road. After the second roundabout it changes its name to Blacktown Road. When you get to Richmond you need to Continue on Lennox St. and after 600m turn right to E Market Road, and then left on March Street. Then you will need to countinue on this road (which changes its name a few times) for 76km. When you will get to Lithgow you will need to turn right to the Great Western Highway. You will need to stay in the Great Western Highway for about 50 km. Then when you get to Bathurst you will need to turn right to Mitchell Highway. Drive in the Mitchell Highway for another 50km until you get to Orange. In orange you will have to turn right at the roundabout to stay in Mitchell Highway and after 900m turn left to Forbes Road (Highway number 90). After 30km turn right to continue on Highway number 90 (instead of 81). Continue there until you'll get to Parkes after 5 hours!
