Honestly, it's hard to say. Say for example there are two people, one person is really good with numbers (a numerical genious)but not good for much else, and the other person is a great mechanical genius but lacks knowledge elsewhere. So which of the two is smarter? There is no real answer. They're both great at what they do, but don't compare in each others field of knowledge. I would like to think that I have a well rounded knowledge of things, my last IQ test was 136, but also I realize that some days I'm not as smart as others. All in all it depends on what you consider to be "Smart".

It's interesting that almost everyone claims to be smarter than average. Somewhere, someone's math is off.
If I could answer truthfully, I'd say that it's not something that I can determine objectively. I have an unfortunate habit of discrediting things I'm not good at ("Oh, that stuff isn't important.") and inflating the value of things I can do well ("Of course, it is the most important skill in the world.")

Probably smarter than I believe I am. Most of this would come from the fact that I have lived many years, experienced many things and events, traveled to many places , met people from different cultures, worked with many " experts" who were not as conversant with their subject as they should have been and exposed to situations whic h required analysisand solutions which happened.

It seems that a lot of people refer to IQ tests. If you look at the figures that are quoted in the answers then you will see that most of them are far below the average of those that take IQ tests which is around the 140 mark.

well i think there are different kinds of smarts, there's school smarts and then life smart....in school i'm ok, i get pretty good grades and i generally understand the things that im learning (except science, i hate science lol) i think that life smart is equally as important...like knowing who are the important people in your life and knowing right and wrong, i feel like i have pretty good instincts for those kinds of things but im only 14 and that i still have alot of learning to do...im still learinig who to trust and care about...so i guess i'm relatively smart but not extremely or anything... :)

My IQ was "well above average" according to the administrator of the test, who wouldn't tell me what it was for the following reason: "If it's higher than you think, you might lose self-esteem for not accomplishing what you're capable of. If it's lower, you might relax too much."

My I.Q. testing says 121, which is above average. Oh, and genius level is 130. If you are a 140 then you are a "Rainman"! Great movie by the way.
