Internet: Check the history of viewed sites.
TV: Porn channels are not free therefore you should be able to block them, or at least set a 4 digit code if your child were to stumble upon those channels they wouldn't be able to view them.
We've been to trusting on certain people now we know better so I suggest block all inappropriate channels and websites. We were nice enough to have my nephews, and my brother in law nephews to spend a night. We never thought those kids would be so rude and do things behind our backs. My brother in law nephews that is. The 16 year old, while everyone was asleep, purchased $80 worth of porn. We didn't realized it until we got our bill. Justice was done later when he ended up in Juvie for stealing from my brother in law. The 10 year old went into porn sites on our laptop, messed it up pretty bad, we had to recover the whole computer, still dealing with that. Not playing nice anymore with that kid.

The computer can be monitored with a key logger. You can do a search on line and find many that offer a free trial basis of a week or so. It will show you screen shots, keystrokes, and web sites visited by anyone who uses the computer. Most televisions manufactured recently have a setting that will allow you to block porn/adult channels. Look under "parental controls" in your television operating manual.

If he starts going around saying "Yeah, you like that? You want more? You've been a bad girl, haven't you?", then your child has been watching porn on the internet/TV.

you usually have to purchase porn shows. Your cable or satellite bill will show that easy. Cookies on your computer shows the history.
If you yourself paid to have a porn station on a monthly basis then I encourage you to stop setting the poor example. If you are concerned about tv in general, put a parental control on that limits the viewer rating. My kids cant see anything above G on TV without me putting in a password.

For the computer check the historty but nowdays children are getting smarter so all they have to do is clear it and as for tv theres not that many ways to tell unless you catch them. So I suggest if all else fails just pretend you know something and see how they act. I hope this helps.

when you say child, how old is this child? My personal opinion is any child under the age of 18 should be monitored at all times when on the internet...especially if they are younger than 16...

web cam in the room...LOCK the adult channels first of all with a password they cannot figure out..
then computer's history...plus look into Cybernanny or other big brother programs that can track their typing history...
too many people now know how to delete their browsing history..
