Since the person may have been new, it's quite possible they zinged a nerve. Don't worry. You'll be fine.

I have a thyroid condition, so I get my blood drawn every three months. I know the minty sensation... no big deal. It's just the skin being sensitive. I've had all sorts of issues before. Once, got a seven inch long bruise up my arm from letting a newbie do the stick.... NEVER again. They can practice on someone else, LOL!

The tests you had in December might probably have been saved for a pair of weeks and then disposed of. yet , although in the event that they have been nevertheless attainable it does no longer help. The attempt which you're desirous to have accomplished now would be drawn in a very diverse form of tube. you won't be able to run that attempt off of the serum tube that the different tests have been drawn into.

Did you have a piece of cotton on it with rubbing alcohol applied? That could reduce the temp through the affects of evaporation.
It could also be a mild inflammation and the healing sensation feels cooler.

The needle probably passed by a skin nerve and has caused a bit of compression to the nerve. Your nerve function is impaired (neuropraxia) and that's why it feels that way, but it will get better over the course of the week.

When the took out the needle it probably tore your vein a little and it bled into your arm. It happened to me a few times.

Maybe it's just the bruise, try the warm bath.
When I bruised my finger, I felt chilly too.
