I don't use a microwave every day, I use a calculator more, not sure if they are exponents, I thought Exponents meant something else..

Exponents are superscripts that tell how many times the base is repeated in multiplication. "Exponents of everyday living" makes no sense. Do you mean exemplars? (examples).

I don't use a calculator hardly at all. I think the computer is the perfect example of something used every day.
The telelphone, television, car are other good examples.
