No because think about little kids!
They believe in Santa! Do you want them to think Santa hates them?
Sure the older people would think it was okay but Thats what little kids think about when they hear the word Christmas and imagine how they would feel if they got no presents.
Plus i am a teen and i never get to see my family all i have is my Sis and Mom. So you can cross off family, and I am vegatarian so theres not much i eat at christmas except mashed potatoes. so whats left? Presents...So no that would not work for me.

I can do without presents and the adults in my family have agreed to not give each other presents as we can get what we want when we want and it creates a lot of waste to receive presents that we don't really need or want. We still give lots of presents to the children because they can't just go out and get new things. We love the tree and decorations and food!

Yes, this could really bring people closer together, and it would be much less stressful, as long as everyone followed the rules. You would have to make sure everyone knows that you are not planning on getting any gifts, that way no ones feelings are hurt.

Absolutely! I suggested this to my family 5 years ago and it has gone amazingly well. We do still give gifts to the little ones, but that's it. I have stress free Christmas:)

Sure. My son might not understand (he is seven) or my husband but overall it would be a good experience. Christmas is about spending time with people you love and celebrating the birth of Christ.

For starters, in case you ward off church homes, the commercialism will quite lots bury all lines of the non secular traditions. the religion area is rather quite ordinary these days. Now for the commercialism. decide what you will possibly anticipate to pay for Christmas enjoying cards, presents, holiday, timber/decorations, and so on. and donate all of that funds to charity(ies) of your selection. save adequate for a cushty family contributors dinner and getting which includes buddies that understand what you're doing. consistent with threat holiday slightly, to state/nationwide parks, or do numerous trekking or in spite of you're able to do outdoors the place you reside.

it seems that it always happens that way, but it would be nice to enjoy the spirit of christmas, and all the brightness of it, and end with a great big dinner with the family. I don't know why but we always went skeet shooting on christman morning, and my children still love to skeet shoot. still do. Yes christmas is big!!! money now, and thats the sad part of it, its all about the money!!!
