Find the following using the given coordinates on the number line:

The distance between -128 and 35

The midpoint of the segment with endpoints -29 and 97.

distance: 35 - (-128) = 35 + 128 = 163

midpoint: (-29 + 97)/2 = 68/2 = 34

35 -(-128) = 163

[97-(-29)]/2 = 126/2 = 63

abs(128+35) =163
97- (abs(29+97)/2)=34

where abs is the absolute value
