And in response to you Dodge... I don't think you quite understand what it means for an artist to stay REAL and LOYAL to THE LONE STAR STATE.
CMT is everything that is wrong with Country Music.
FYI... Pat Green has lost most of his following with real Texans, because he started singing Tennesse POP/Country.
Anybody that does a DODGE commercial has lost alot of respect in my eyes.

I don't know about Roger being the best. He is very good, and one of my favorites. There are so many great Texas/Red Dirt artists out there today making "real" music. I cannot for the life of me figure out why anyone would even consider watching CMT or tuning in to top 40 country radio.

We talk Texas every now and then, your just not in here when we do. Roger is a good artist I agree. I like several of his songs but the thing is not everyone is into the Texas music scene around here. But keep asking them questions and we'll answer. Happy Trails:)
By the way.. How about Kevin Fowler,Cooder Graw, Houston Marchmen and Brian Burns. Do you like their music as well?

The Chuck needs to understand that there is country life outside of the Lone Star State. If an artist wants to get big, they need to get exposure outside the state, like Pat Green and Mark Chesnutt.
Roger Creager needs to put a video on CMT so he can get going.

hmm ive never heard about him, ill have to check him out. the thing is that my only access to country is CMT and the radio, which mainly shows the mainstream artists like brad paisley, tim mcgraw, garth brooks, george strait, alan jackson, kenny chesney, carrie underwood, sugarland etc
