Yeah, it's fine to take them all the time. They have a lot of folic acid and that's really important for when you are pregnant and before. Prenatal vitamins don't have enough vitamin d and that's really important. Expecially if you plan to conceive. Take prenatal plus a 1000 of vitamin d as well. I tried for a year before conceiving. A month before I started taking prenatal vitamins. But, the month I did conceive, I was conveniently tired for the 3 or 4 days before ovulation. When we finally had sex it was great and all built up in him. That month I was pregos.

The OTC ones are just as good as the prescribed ones. The OTC ones have all the vitamins that you and baby need. The prescribed ones usually have a bit more vitamins in them. So either way your good. I get the One A Day prenatal vitamins, $13 for a month supply. Missy Oldest son Dylan (4), 20 weeks 5 days with Daniel

It is ok to take them if you are not pregnant. They are just formulated a little different from regular vitamins to give you more of what your baby needs. My doctor advised me to continue to take the prenatal vitamins after I had my baby because I chose to breastfeed.

The only problem you could have with pre-natal vitamins is constipation, but if you aren't experiencing that, by all means take them! They have everything in them your body will need while pregnant, and while preparing to be pregnant. Good luck with the baby making.

Yes, it is okay to take them while your not prego. Actually, at one time I had a DR give them to me, because they have alot of good nutrients that your body needs. And helps your hair and nails grow too, so that is always a plus.

It is a very good thing to take them when TTC. There are birthdefects that can only be prevented if you take them before hand. So keep on taking them before during and after pregnancy if you deside to breastfeed.
Best of luck to you!!!

My childbirth teacher says she takes them all the time, because they are so good for you. It is also a good thing to take before you are pregnant since the folic acid prevents birth defects. Good luck to you.
