Why do so many people hate jews? it makes me wanna cry!?

I just don't get it.
I'm jewish but I never ever wished anybody any harm.
Why is this happening?
I just got off youtube and there are so many anti-jews videos on there, it's so horrible.
Surely some jewish people are not so good but this applies to any nation. I really don't thinnk there are more bad jews than there are bad christians or muslims or buddhists

I'm a Christian (not as good a one as I should be), and my whole faith is built around a man who was a devout Jew.

I rather suspect a lot of modern anti-Jewish sentiment is anti-Bush or anti-America based right now. The U.S. (under Bush) is currently fighting a war against Islamic nutcakes, and they're all anti-Israel (and therefore anti-Jew). And I suspect a lot of the anti-Israel or anti-Jew sentiment right now is really an offshoot of anti-American (and anti-Bush) feelings. Some people buy into that old adage that "the enemy of my enemy is my friend"...even if that "friend" hates them as much as he does anyone else.

You be PROUD of that Jewish heritage, hon...

I also want to cry when I see all the nasty anti-semitic idiocy floating around the Internet. It's very sad, but IMO this comes from ignorance, fear and insecurity. That's really what all hatred is made of.

As for the poster who said we don't know how to laugh at ourselves, I beg to differ. Some of the best comedians in the world are Jewish and the thing they laugh more about is themselves. That's one thing I admire so much about my fellow Jews- we've had a history of tremendous violence against us and yet, we're still able to laugh at ourselves and at the people who hate us. If you don't believe me, just watch any movie by Mel Brooks. No one can make more of a fool out of Hitler than him. Rent "The Producers" and then tell us if Jews cannot laugh at themselves.

When I was little, I saw movies about how Jews were hated and all of that.

I remember seeing a movie called "School Ties" in high school, about a Jewish athlete at a prep school in the 1950's who has to deal with Anti-Semitism.

They kept saying "He's a Jew!" And I sat there thinking, "And I'm a Baptist. So?"

Simplistic way of thinking, maybe. But does it need to be any more complicated?

There are good and bad people in each and every religion. People should only judge others as individuals and not as a collective group.
Some of our favorite friends are jewish and we love them. As you get older people around you will probably be able to seperate Zionism and what the Israeli government commits as having nothing to do with most jewish people. Not all Jewish people are Zionists. I know a LOT of jewish people who are against the Israeli government and Zionism.

I'm not Jewish and I don't understand it either. It's just bigotry and ignorance and I know that such haters are overrepresented on the Internet because of the anonymity, and it's not only against Jews. I've seen so many disgusting remarks about blacks, Muslims, and other groups of people on Yahoo! Answers. These idiots don't deserve it that you are sad because of what they think.

Because they don't think! There is no difference just their beliefs. Let them believe what they want, everyone has their rights! Jewish people can be the nicest people in the world, or they could be the smartest, but if you never look past their religion you can never get to know the real them! I agree, no matter what religion, there are going to be bad people and its not because of their religion but because of them! I'm sorry , really sorry that you had to see videos like that, it disgraces me too. I bet that you are a really nice person and I truly agree with you! Aw... I'm sorry you saw that trash. I don't hate Jewish people at all, as a matter of fact, I don't personally know anyone that does. Don't feel bad. I've never understood why some people feel that they have to berate or make fun of someone else to make themselves feel superior.
You should stay away from those particular sites as some people will always be jerks.

The reson so many people hate jews is because of the stereo type that jews always feel sorry for them selves and they believe the world owes them something and they can't have a laugh at them self. personaly i am an australian and if someone calls me a convict i really don't give a crap at all, i'll probaly laugh and agree. if someone calls a jew a tight a'ss instead of thinking to them self "haha i'm rich and your poorso you calling me a tight a'ss doen't really affect me", the jew will think that the world is against them and cry about it to everyone who they meet for the rest of the day. its a little harsh but that is really why the world doesn't really like jews (or at least the jew stereotype)

Some people are just so closed minded that they can't consider other peoples beliefs. And others feel that making fun of their values is comedy. But it's life, and just remember that you have a voice too, and you have the right to express what you think as well though.

I love Black Jews, after all they are the original Jews!

However, I think White Jews are among the biggest racists on the planet. They supported Apartheid in South Africa, and when the United Nations put economic sanctions on South Africa, The white racist Jews sold their diamonds for them. The European descended Jews were also helping the Apartheid government plan a massive gas attack on the Black Majority in South Africa.

When Israel's blood bank was running low, Ethiopian Jews gave blood to help the blood bank, but the white Jews poured the blood to the ground, because they did not want blood from blacks.

I could go on and on about the racist nature of the white Jews, but it is not necessary, because you get my point.
