I really don't recall another time in my conscious life that there was so much partisan bickering going on. There just doesn't seem to be any middle ground in the issues that are dividing the parties - abortion, Iraq war, stem cell research, income redistribution, health care, the military in general and a host of other issues.
The view from the left vs. the view from the right just couldn't be any more opposite on most of these issues.
Check out the posts: The democrats are whining, socialist, anti-war cry babies that want the government to provide every body's needs while the republicans are war mongering, hateful, selfish and a bunch of sheep. Anyone one with half a brain knows that these characterizations are outlandish - yet the stereotyping continues with a renewed fervor day after day.
Most solutions to the problems which face this nation don't come from either the far left or far right - they come from near the middle through compromise and reasonable debate - yet the far fringes seem to be the most vocal and cause the most discontent. Perhaps the days of the Michael Moore's and Rush Limbaugh's will run their course and go the way of the eight track tape - I'd like to think so.

California has seen this. i wish they do it. Arnold is a real fool in simple terms like Bush. examine it out. California is the chief and something of the rustic in simple terms follows alongside. long island is likewise great adequate to be a rustic. the two are Democratic States. i might help ending the US abode of Reps. , they're a valueless waste of tax payers money. We pay them $435 million in step with 365 days and that they do no longer something to earn it. New regulations could come from the States and circulate to the Senate. we've far too many regulations already. If the states did no longer all approve in an undemanding majority then the hot regulations might die an enduring dying. One occasion that is composed of suggestions is the minimum salary, Congress does no longer something to assist the working type, it is $5.15 federal. it is over $8 in 5 States and that they have got not had any huge problems with the better minimum salary. Now if all 50 States might act then it is going to alter into federal regulation. it is going to come from the States in a majority and circulate into the Senate for debate then to the President. BTW, It replace into States rights that made this u . s . a . what it somewhat is at present. under Republicans we've a $9 trillion national debt and that may no longer a Conservative purpose. The Republican conflict in Iraq will fee working type tax payer $2 trillion over ten years. Federal government has grown under Republicans no longer been made smaller, that may no longer a Conservative purpose. Republicans additionally elect to end Social risk-free practices, that has been their purpose for 30 years. history is actuality.

Yes. Its time to end the misery and remove these two worthless parties from our countries political choice. I think your wrong about why there is such a split though, I think it is because they have so much in common, they care about money, elections, and looking good. The country and its people come in a distant 10th or 11th on their list of importance.

"Well, I say to them tonight, there is not a liberal America and a conservative America -- there is the United States of America. There is not a Black America and a White America and Latino America and Asian America -- there’s the United States of America.
The pundits, the pundits like to slice-and-dice our country into Red States and Blue States; Red States for Republicans, Blue States for Democrats. But I’ve got news for them, too. We worship an "awesome God" in the Blue States, and we don’t like federal agents poking around in our libraries in the Red States. We coach Little League in the Blue States and yes, we’ve got some gay friends in the Red States. There are patriots who opposed the war in Iraq and there are patriots who supported the war in Iraq. We are one people, all of us pledging allegiance to the stars and stripes, all of us defending the United States of America.
In the end -- In the end -- In the end, that’s what this election is about. Do we participate in a politics of cynicism or do we participate in a politics of hope?"

What's funny is the split is only for laughs to them, they forgot about us along time ago and they've all been bought and paid for by corporations for quite a awhile now. But as long as they can get us to act like we believe they are going to do something for us they've won. We need to kick them all out and quit putting up with their ****!

abolish parties?? dont be ridiculous. the parties appeal to groups of people. thats why they exist. and by knowing which parties have ridiculous views, you can efficiently narrow down your scope of possible candidates.
