Being poor and happy is better than rich or miserable if you are rich and miserable why be rich and there is a lot to say about being happy no matter your economic conditions are although being rich is better than poor too.

i would want to be poor and happy than rich and miserable. Money doesn't really matter when your miserable. Money can't buy you happiness. You only have one life to live and I'd rather do it poor and happy.

Give me the poor and happy any time. If I'm not happy, there is no point to my life. I think happiness is what keeps me going and feeling each day is worth waking up to.

Since I don't subscribe to the "conventional" wisdom that money can't buy happiness,,,, I choose rich. Give me the money, and I will work out my own problems...
I sooo agree with Mrs. Thurston Howell III, who said,
"People who think money can't buy happiness don't know where to shop!"
I no longer have one single solitary problem OF ANY KIND that can't be solved with enough money. }:>
