I think this as the worst possible thing anyone can do. Why can people take the life of another without feeling like it will ruin their own life?

Murderers have a different psyche to the rest of us. Their concept of what is right and what is wrong is totally different to ours!
Some even believe that they are doing the world a favour by taking out a certain type of person, ie, prostitutes, which is their way of justifying it to themselves!
I don't think a normal person could ever comprehend what someone like that thinks and feels, or what caused them to be that way, nature, nurture or both combined?!
Maybe one day they'll find a defective gene that causes people to murder, and be able to remove it and therefore the problem?!

The worst possible thing to do to someone, is make them suffer, or not give them life at all. People think death is so important, i wont say that its not, but if you had the choice and you had some virus, and you knew you were going to die painfully in 3 days, i would let someone kill me painlessly (gun to head, and the likes) then die painfully. Murder, its not hard, not at all...all you have to do is take a life with something, it requires no skill, no emotions, absolutely nothing except the will to take a life, which isnt that hard to gain if you hate someone...once youve killed someone you really dont care anymore, if you kill 1 person, you go to prison, of you kill 5 people, you go to prison, but if you kill 10 people, you go to prison, but you dont have to suffer there for the rest of your life to rot, your put in death row and killed, no suffering, just death.

I'm not sure murderers do think it is okay--they are probably just fueled by anger, hate, whatever & think of it as a way to ease the hurt inside them. I've only known one murderer, who killed his father who was abusing him. In his case you could plead self-defense, but he does feel like it ruined his life. If you are angry, hurt, and defensive, it is hard not to lash out at the person who is making your life miserable & people do a lot of things without thinking. Not making excuses, just don't believe that there is a lot of rational thought involved.

They have lots of mental issues. They probably never had anyone help them out with their problems or care about them, so their problems added up. They finally broke down and decided to take revange on people that hurt them in the past. Sometimes they are not brave enough to do it, so they murder inocent people. After a while it becomes an oppsesion and they get a kick outta it! They continue doing it unable to stop!

I just watched a weird movie. I know life isnt like a movie exactly but it got me thinking. Humans are animals. I guess like some animals like the lion they have the urge to kill... its a part of life. I think maybe some people have an animal instinct in them to hurt others. Back in the day killing wasn't really a big deal. Now it is because humans have different beliefs. Times change but some people don't.

People kill for a variety of reasons, mostly having to do with genetic, hormonal, biological, and cultural conditioning.

Causation is typically interpersonal conflict. Most "family" homicides are spousal homicides, fueled by male sexual proprietariness.

Test results suggest there may be two distinct populations of murderers: one with deficient social beliefs (and an increased disposition towards extreme violence), and the other in which such negative beliefs are absent.

I believe the cause for a lot of things is emotions. And this is ironic because you usually call murderers emotionless. But the strong feelings such as anger, sadness, jealousy, even happiness, I believe are the fuel to this outburst.

They don't think it is ok. They just don't see anything wrong with it. Do you think that they care about ruining their own life if they are capable of killing?

I think there are worse crimes than murder. At least murder stops the trauma of surviving other vicious crimes.

Who knows, I guess its like why do some people like mustard and other dont. Its just the way they feel, perhaps they are more intact with their animal instincts, bears kill without remorse after all. Their bad people though, I agree with your first sentence.

Then again why can soldiers kill people in combat without remorse?
