How do i know i am ovaluting? What are the symptoms i need to look out for?

My periods are irregular. Off late i.e. since 3 months its almost in a 30days pattern. Today is my 5th day since my period started. When does generally one ova lute? I am obese and have PCO as well. Need to know the symptoms of ovalution. This is kinda related to my earlier query on how do i concieve... appreciate ur help! thank u..

Women ovulate 12-16 days before their period. For women with irregular periods it's really helpful to chart your temperature. This is the only way you on your own you can find out if/when you are ovulating. If you have PCOS, most likely related to your weight issue, then your doctor can use ultraosund to tell when you ovulate as well as check your progesterone levels.

FYI: my friend who had struggled with her weight for years had PCOS, but really wanted a child. She ended up losing 50lbs and started ovulating again and got pregnant a few months later. Good luck.

I too will tell you to go purchase "Taking Charge of your Fertility" It is a great book. Also, purchase an Ovulation Predictor Kit (OPK). It will help since your cycles are irregular. I really like the clearblue ovualtion digital kit. It is expensive, but very nice!

I have a great book called "Taking Charge of your Fertility"...it's awesome!! Anyway, look for mucos and a low and open cervix. A 28 day period usually means ovulation is around day 14. Good luck!

please read the book "taking charge of your fertility" im reading it now and i know alot more about my body now then i did before i read it. i always thought everyone had the same cycle length just more or less cramps and i didnt know that the stuff that comes out of you know where was fertile CM either. now i know everyone is different and im TTC #! now and im married and 22 and im glad i found that book!!!!
