And I do and it just keeps repeating, any idea how to fix this. It doesn't have a virus, and it just started doing this after my son put a computer game that was meant for windows 95 or 98. It is an E-machines with WIndows XP as the operating system

check to see if there is a floppy disk in the drive or a CD in the CD-ROM drive and if so remove it and reboot.

... sounds like the computer is trying to boot from another disk (other than the main hard-drive) and isn't recognizing any type of operating system.

The most common reason this comes up is when someone leaves a CD, flash-drive, or floppy disk in the drives ... open those up / unplug 'em / eject the disk to see if that's why it's doing that & try to boot-up again.

If that doesn't work - it probably means your operating system has been corrupted to the point where the machine no longer recognizes it & you'll have to re-install it.

simple. you may have a cd or disc still inside your cd/dvd drive, or you may have a flash drive inserted in your usb port. the reason you're getting this message is because your computer boots first on these drives before it loads your operating system. remove these, boot up your computer and it will all be fine. =)

Do you have a cd, USB, Disk or anything in the PC? Usually that what happens when something is booting first,.... Check BIOS
