tend to be stuck in a protest mode? They almost always seem angry or bitter or grippy about something. I wonder if that's the root of their smoking habit - their attitude. What do you think? Just curious...

I am a smoker and have a lot of smoker friends and they don't seem to angry. We actually like that bars in the area went non-smoking because you smoke less (costs less) and you don't stink as bad at the end of the evening.

I do notice the smokers at work are complaining a lot on their breaks though - Usually the women being angry about one thing or another...

I have notice people who do smoke are like this. what I don't like is that they seem to be allowed to take cigarette breaks al day at work and nothing is said, yet the hard workers get Bi@tched at and screamed at to to more work. That is what it was like when I was in the insurance company for 12 years.

Smoking should be done on a persons OWN time not at the cost of the company.

I remember when I worked for a Dr office cigarette breaks were not allowed at the office because it was health and wellness center you had to smoke before you came to work, on your break AWAY from the facility or when you left to go home.

They are also angry, bitter and grippy because many are addicted to nicotine in the cigarettes which is a habit forming substance.

I also think it is very rude and a POOR testimony is when people smoke outside of church after service.

i am a smoker and i am not angry or bitter, however i am a bit upset that everyone wants to take our rights away as smokers. i can understand not smoking in front of door ways where people travel but common now why take our smoking section away in restaurants, telling us smokers we can not smoke outside (in some areas) If someone smokes outside others are less likely to be effected by second hand smoke. now if the non smoke seems intent on hanging around people who smoke outside or goes and sits down in a smoking section well that's is their stupid fault. Non smokers can steer clear of outside smokers. So yeah i smoke where i want and when i want, if you do not like my smoke then stay away from me because it is my constitutional right to be a smoker.

Some smokers are angry and bitter, just like some nonsmokers are. It works both ways.

There are also nonsmokers who are stuck in protest mode, thinking that they are going to fall over of lung cancer just because someone smokes within ten feet of them, which is an irrational thought.

Maybe they get crank when they are craving a cigarette... because w. all the new "no smoking" laws, they are now really limited to where and when they are allowed to light up...

Meanwhile, their cig-cravings are kicking in and they are getting very annoyed and cranky....?

Just a guess...! : )

I think so. My dad smokes and he's snippy. And replies answers that doesn't really answer the question sometimes. Maybe it's the nicotine and other chemicals in there...

Smoking doesn't make crabby people, it is a lack in someone's life that makes them crabby.
