I've never been into make-up. Usually, I only use foundation or concealer to hide my eye circles. But, since I'm in my early 30s, I'm starting to get a little curious about things I can do that might make me look a bit younger. One problem, though- I'm clueless about make-up, so I have no idea what to wear and how I should apply it.

Rather than explaining what I look like, I'll just post the link to a recent photo of myself...

Thanks for helping. ☺

Before someone says, "Hey, dummy... You're already using your pic as your avatar," LOL- I know, but I didn't think it's big enough to form any opinions.

Grooming your brows will really open up your eyes & make you look younger.

You can have them professionally tweezed or waxed at a salon & then maintain the shape at home.

Here are the best sites about brow grooming:

You have clear skin so just use a tinted moisturizer to make your skin look more dewy & fresh.

Apply a gel eyeliner tight against your upper lash line. Curl your lashes & use a rich mascara. Lush lashes look more youthful.

A "your lips but better" sheer lipstick or lip gloss would brighten your face too. Two of my favorite neutrals are Clinique Almost Lipstick in Black Honey & Revlon Super Lustrous Lip Gloss in Cherries in the Glow.

Determining your skin tone will help you select your best make up colors. Here's how:

Warm skin tone:
1. Look at inner wrist - veins will appear green.
2. Gold jewelry is more flattering than silver jewelry.

Cool skin tone:
1. Look at inner wrist - veins will appear blue.
2. Silver jewelry is more flattering.

Lastly, consider getting a few subtle highlights to soften your hair color. Dark, monochromatic hair can make your complexion look washed out.

I would go with pinkish toned makeup. Try a shiny light pink lip gloss. Maybe some light colored eye shadow to brighten the eyes. Some eye liner and some mascara! That should do! It looks very natural but it will bring out some features!

you should wear some eye shadow(colors like purple and pink will look good), apply some make-up powder cuz your skin is really pale, some lip gloss(a light fair colors like neutral brown, plum, or a light red), and using a little mascara and eye liner should do the trick! also you should try waxing your eye brows because no offense but they look kinda bushy!!!
sorry but i'm lazy to put down all the steps of applying make-up soooooooo here's a goog link or you can search on yahoo or google!

You look like a perfect candidate for 3 brands:

1. Shiseido (on the minimalist/natural side)
2. Lancome (deep, moody colors, great mascara)
3. Clinique (hypoallergenic, good sheer colors, crappy mascara)

(In that order)
Call your local dept store, and find out if they carry those brands. (Macy's is one, or nordstrom)
Then find out when they are doing free consultations. They will do your makeup. Don't buy anything that moment. Wait and see how you like the colors they put on you first.

You'll need liquid makeup (I like clinique superbalanced), a natural blush, a couple daytime eyehadows, and a darker night shadow to add, then you'll need a simple eye/brow/liner, and a good mascara (I like lancome).

You have beautiful skin...I think you'll be awestruck by what modern makeup techniques can do to accentuate your beauty.

i think for eye shadow a neutral brownish/plum color go to M.A.C cosmetics.com and lok for the eye shadow called twinks for a blush i would try a medium dusty mauve pink try lots of honeys and browns for lip color maybe nude stick w/ a little flush or a rich plum stain or gloss just try to stay in the warm shades most of your colors should have a gold hint. by your picture your skin tone looks warm but it could be neutral. hold a peice of gold jewelry up to your face, then try a silver peice if gold looks better your warm if silver is then your cool if both look ok your neutral.

DAMN! ARE YOU SURE YOU'RE IN YOUR 30'S? I would have put you at early to mid 20's at the most!!!

WHY DO YOU THINK YOU NEED MAKE UP?!?! WHATEVER YOU'RE DOING IS WORKING!!!

If you're determined to wear make up, my suggestion is to just keep using the foundation that matches your skin tone and maybe touch yourself up with light pink blush and light brown eye shadow. I'm no expert, though, so don't rely completely on what I say.
