No probably not, I find it difficult to get scared or shocked by things, there is always a deep reason for something, and I would stick around, and find out what that was.

depends how dark the darker side is and whether those that abandoned had tried to help. There are some things you just have to walk away from and some people that can only help themselves

I would never abandon them but it has happened to me... I had a friend of 21 years abandon me when I was going through some dark times. We both had stuff come up that was dark about each other & I was willing to look past theirs, but apparently they weren't able to look past mine..oh, well.

That would probably depend on exactly what their darker side was, and how close I was to them.
There are some things I could never condone, but there are also some people I could never give up.

I reveled in that darker side in my friend, until he used me to help his drug running operation.
He asked me if I knew how to shoot an Uzi (I was in the Army). I thought that he was just wanting to target shoot with it, as we had done with hand guns before. I took him out and taught him how to use it. He had a habit of buying things he couldn't use. I had to teach him how to drive a stick shift.
A couple of months later I heard that another friend of his, who I only knew slightly, was killed by the police in a drug bust gone bad. I haven't seen or spoken to the guy in 20 years.

Depends. We all have a dark scary side I think. But if it scares you more than anything then maybe the best thing is to walk away.

If that darker side were targeting me, to harm, rape, or kill me, then yes, I would drop them like a hot potato. If that darker side were not targeting me, if my friend just needed someone to be there for them, then I would stand by them forever.

I would still appreciate their qualities, for which I first liked them. I would not necessarily abandon them, but would be weary of exposing myself to their dark side.

No - If you are a true friend you would see past the dark bit and if it was needed be there for your friend.
I would hate to think that if there was something i did people didn't agree with that they'd just disappear!
As always - talking is the answer.

Well...No.. This girl i like used to cut herself and when she told me this i was just like....wow.... But, I got past it and I don't even see her in a different way now... So yeah i would still like someone even if they ahd a darker side. And no, she doesn't still cut herself.
