The intent of the right to bear arms was so that a people would never have to live in fear of complete government control. Since the government out nukes the people, I'll just state my own opinion and say that the worst people have the best weapons and they always will. Most gun related murders are done using illegally acquired or owned guns. So, since the allowance of owning guns doesn't really relate to the number of gun related deaths, I don't see any reason for people NOT to own them.
Maybe if everyone was issued a gun, it would be easier to track down a murderer and there may be less shootings because they know the other guy is armed as well. Of course, this is absurd, but the only real solution to the gun problem will be when humans stop making such things and stop using such things. Plus if we went back to beating each other to death with sticks it would prevent weaker humans from killing stronger ones and selective breeding may come back, helping the whole species grow stronger.
And then there's the whole population control thing. It's not cool when someone you know and love dies, but it's also not cool when the whole planet is so overpopulated it had to kill us all. Bottom line is, you're going to die, I'm going to die, and so is everyone. While we have an individual duty to survive as best and long as we can, we must not try to find every way we can to keep people from death. Obviously we're supposed to die and it is ultimately a good thing. Perhaps it's the best part of life? No one really knows, and without knowing how can we enforce our beliefs on other?
To sum it up, yes everyone should be allowed guns. Except Dick Cheney. Aiming for the pidgeon my ****.

Yes!!!!! I believe people should have the right to own guns to protect themselves! If they did manage to go against the constitution and ban guns they would just be black marketed and then most of the guns would be in the BAD peoples hands and none of the GOOD people would be able to protect themselves. Furthermore I think it may just stop alot of people from breaking in someones house just because they arent sure if they might have a gun! I know it still happens but it would happen more if no one could own guns!

I don't think no one in this world should own a gun, because, people kill people easy and faster and people are just so stupid with the guns! I would never own one! I don't believe in having any wapon in my hands or anyone else's hands. I believe who ever made guns we're the dumest people alive! Thats another why people have gotten so out of control now a days. I really wish the presdent, well calls him self one needs to take guns out of other people's hands. I don't even believe police men should have one. Thats how I feel. Think in your mind that if someone else had a gun and you diden't even believe in having one and you loved God, and you died? Think of your kids dieing. Think of your mom and dad dieing!

YES...guns don't shot ppl. the reason why it's in the bill of rights is b/c governmental control and lack there of. it gives the ppl the right to stand and take arms if need be. what happens if they take our guns away and we get invaded? i'm serious....this is no joking matter. by taking away our right to bare arms you are allowing the gov. a lot more power over the ppl than it deserves....and don't htink they wouldn't abuse it. human beings and soceity has not evolved enough to "do right" by it's fellow man for profit or gain. trust me on this one....don't vote no guns within 50 yrs we're turn into Nazi America....i'm tellin you...study history this is how Hitlers are born....but slowly taking away the ppl's rights over time.

Yes.
Until some non-lethal device is invented which is just as easy to use, portable, and effective at stopping an attacker as a gun. As soon as that comes out, I see no reason for ordinary peopel to have guns.

Yes, because if no one is allowed to have guns, then you know crimals and the insane are going to have them. But there should be a restriction on age, mental health, and criminal record.
