Without the prescence of an Ear who can say if there are senses of noise without the auditory feedback, maybe other forces in nature cannot pick up on noise unless a human ear is around to broadcast the interpretation of scattered noise vibratons and transmit the type of sound, Who knows if a animal interprets a car horn the same as we do. Maybe to them, it is more like a whistling sound, like those deer alerts you put on your car to warn a deer you are approaching. Maybe the noise the tree makes is unlike the way our auditory nerves decipher it to be. Animals respond to motion and the way we react. If a tree falls when no one is in the forest it probably looks like a grayish black vortex crashing, animals see in black n white (theory, goes).
The color of an object would still have a color, but since light would be absent, the eyes would see the object differently since the eyes need light to refocus the pupil to analyze light particles and correlate the object accordingly. The object color stays the same, definately. Some people have night blindness where they cannot predjudice an object as being say, yellow, or blue, etc. As long as you have Good vision (20/20) which I do -- it should be easy to note the color of the object once the light is on, or it might be difficult at night but outdoor lighting makes that possible.

Of course they both are Yes. A tree will make a noise if you are there to hear it or not, that will not change. And yes it still keeps it's color, think about it. And the chicken did come before the egg, the egg can't hatch without the mothers warmth.

yes, a tree would still make a noise. however with the light color issue, objects have no color. its the light that gives it its color. for example, an apple appears red, only becasue the white light (all the colors of the rainbow) hits it and all the colors but red are absorbed. red is reflected to our eyes and thats y we see red. so no, if light doesn't shine on an object, it has no color.

Yeah it makes a noise.
One needs a truly colossal ego to believe nothing happens unless YOU are watching.
JFTR though a LOT of quantum physicists get this one wrong, so don't feel bad if you missed it.
What we generally mean by 'color' is the color of the light that would reflect IF the lights were on. One presumes, for example, that a beautiful woman is beautiful regardless of lights, though I have heard 'morning after' stories contradicting this belief. ;-)

If a man speaks in the forest, and there is no woman around to hear him, is he still wrong?
