I think we should stop all aid with or without a war.

Wartime aside, I do not see how we (the United States) *realistically* can, nor do I believe we should be providing aid to anyone, anywhere in the world when we ourselves are currently borrowing money from China and other countries at an unprecedented rate, our National Debt continues to climb at an average rate of $1.43 billion per day since September 29, 2006, and our dollar has less and less purchasing power in the international markets each day (our dollar is at a record low!).

That is like a Food Stamp recipient giving away all their food and then begging for more from others, to in turn give away yet again, while continuing to go hungry themselves.

This is not a sane strategy. You can only truly give when you are in a position of solvency and abundance yourself. That means a POSITIVE bank balance NOT a deficit.

We must run our households this way or face foreclosure. ...Why not our country?

The bottom line?

We now find ourselves to be a nation of beggars!

....And the world is rejoicing.

"I sense a Christmas shopping trip to the US coming up this year. I can understand that the US isn't happy about this but for the rest of the world it's party time!"

"I hope it keeps dropping! I live in Norway and travel to the U.S. occasionally. The dollar is nearing record lows against the Norwegian kroner too. Next time I travel back to the US I think I´ll take a week of my salary and buy a car!"

"...the other day i bought some stuff from america using paypal...and the exchange rate was almost 1 > 1.98 for dollars and gb pounds - thats like, half price for me :D

im not complaining, because im benefiting from your poor economy, but im sure if i lived in america i'd be worried.

edit: i've just checked XE.com and the exchange rate is like 2.02600 :D"

Not sure 'bout all that, but I think we should be a little more picky with who we deliver aid to.
