I'd better want to be married. I am!

It's great! Easily the best thing I ever did my entire life.

That said, I have two thoughts on it aside of my own experience:

1. It only works if BOTH parties put in the effort. I'm willing to bet that 90% of marriages that fail do so simply because one or both spouses stopped trying.

2. The word "marriage" has a stigma attached to it due to the secular nature of our society in relation to the religious aspects of traditional marriage. That said, in my mind marriage is simply an agreement between two people who are in love promising to uphold that love for the rest of their lives. If you don't "get married" but are committed to another person, all the power to you, but in a sense you ARE married because you ARE promising to uphold your love. All the "wedding" does is make it a legal agreement as well. Seems to me that if you value the relationship you would want to protect yourself and your loved one by making it legal.

In the end, however, all that really matters is that two people love one another and put the effort in to make the relationship work. Whether or not you want to call it a marriage or sign a slip of paper to make it official is the couple's choice.

After seeing all the frustations that married couples around me are going through..and even have some of them telling me not to get married..I'm sooo not sure.

I don't want to live alone forever though..and I don't want to "shack up" with anyone so to speak.

So..I might bite the bullet if I find the right guy.

I am married and I love my husband, but marriage is not easy. It gets rough. We fight, we don't always have time to love and cuddle and hold each other or have even make love. Sometimes we only see each other for maybe 2 hours a day. We don't have kids yet. I dunno, sometimes I get annoyed with it, but at the end of the day it is worth it.

I've been married for almost 4 years (since I was 20 years old). I like it most of the time, but it is hard. If anyone tells you it's going to be easy, they lied to you.

It seems to be an antiquated notion. I can't say that I believe in it quite the way those of an older generation might. Yet to each, their own. I've nothing against those who choose to get married.

I do want to get married to a real woman
that doesn't play games or tell lies.
I want to get my future wife pregnant
and be the father of her baby.
or I'll just adopt children two boys
and two girls and be there for them
and love them.
