I have just finished going through a very very rough time in my career, where I was stressed, nervous, and generally a wreck. That is mostly resolved now, and I would like to think of some way to show my SO how grateful I am to him for being there for me, and being loving and supportive, even though I am sure he was sick to death of hearing about it - he never let on. I am sure that there were times that I haven't been exactly pleasant to be around, but he stayed by me through it.

What are some suggestions of ways or gestures to say, "Thank you - I love you SO much!"

Frankly I would take him out for a nice dinner, and over coffee look him in the eyes and SAY exactly that. Sometimes even if you know how someone feels, even if they show how they feel, you just like to HEAR it.

Bring him some flowers when you come home. Just sit down and tell him how much you appreciate him sticking with you through the rough times. Then, tell him you'll be there for his rough times. Over the course of the next several months, promise yourself (you probably already do this, but just in case) that you will ask your SO how his day was and fullly listen; not interjecting with advice or your own story, but just being there for him like he did for you. Isn't love wonderful?

The best way i can think of is just by letting him know that you are very aware of what all he did for you during this situation.tell him that you feel that he is your Rock in the time of trouble, and that you will always be grateful for his support.Nothing more needs to be said,he will get the message loud and clear...Its better than any gift you could give him.
