I have a 14 ft python very friendly guy had him 4 , 14 years he like a son to me. should I tell girls that I have em or will they be scared off him..yes he eats rabbits and other small mammals if your scared of snakes then let me know why you wouldn't date a man with 1.
And does it matter that I hate dogs and cats I've always hated them cant seem to change tried to but cant changeI wont date some 1 with a dog or cat I hate the hair on my black sweaters

I'm assuming the question really is if you should disclose you have a large python when you meet someone. For a casual date, no. If it's going to be something where she's going to be exposed to the snake, then yes. She needs to be able to make the decision as to whether she's o.k. with a 14 ft. python. For what it's worth, I have no fear of snakes. I own a lot of them and I am the primary one that works and breeds all of the snakes. My husband only occasionally handles mine and only has one of his own-so your having a python wouldn't bother me a bit if we were dating. As far as dating someone that has an animal I don't like, I suppose that it would depend upon whether or not I really liked them. Some people can change their minds, but I doubt that you could change someone from being scared of a potentially dangerous snake that's owned by someone who thinks it's a person. It's not your son, it's a snake. Your python would eat you for dinner if it decided to and wouldn't think twice about it. His brain is geared towards survival and he doesn't love you. He's an animal. I have a great deal of affection towards my animals, including my snakes. I'd be devastated if one of them died, but I would never think of them as human. That's the kind of thing that will get you into trouble one day. I assume you don't have at least 2 other people with you when you feed or handle as you should for safety? If you don't, you should. It's the cardinal rule of large snake ownership. There have been instances where someone's "son" grabbed them instead of the food item and they ended up constricted.

We have 5 snakes. I know a lot of women who like snakes. You should absolutely tell them that you have him. If a woman has a problem with your snake she probably isn't the right one for you.
If the woman you are dating has a dog or cat be honest and tell them that you're not a big fan of dogs and cats. A woman who loves dogs and cats isn't going to be right for you, so don't waster your time.
A reptile expo might be a great place for you to meet someone with similar interests.

I love snakes; I own two of them. I actually find more men who are afraid of snakes than I find women.
Most of the time it is my female friends who, even if they are scared, will walk up, pet my snakes, and usually end up holding them or going "aww, he is SOO sweet!"
My male friends are usually the ones who take one look at the scaley thing wrapped around my shoulders, jerk back to the other side of the room, and say "Get that f***ing thing away from me."
To be honest, it would be much more of a problem with me to date someone who hates dogs and cats. If the guy was the nicest, funniest, best looking, most intelligent guy I have ever met who was absolutely perfect for me in any other way, I STILL wouldn't touch him with a 10-foot pole if he hated dogs or cats.

I can't speak for all women, but I am very afraid of snakes. I hate looking at them even in pictures. I'm sure a lot of women wouldn't have a problem with them but not many I know.

If it's a pet snake I wouldn't see any reason to be scared of it..but if it is a wild poisonous snake then there would be room for concern.

I don't think you would scare off someone from liking you just because you have a snake. Especially one that you've had for so long It must be something else.

me personly like snakes and want a pet snake but i cant. i think snakes r really cool. i live in the country were theres a creek, farm field, and pasture with head high grass so we get a lot of snakes 'round here. i think its funny when i see a 4 inch snake try and attack my twin sisters foot(no one in my family is scared of snakes) but all my friends think im weird because i like snakes. but if a girl really loved u, she would date u even though u have a snake, same to u, if u really love a girl u will date her even if she has a cat or dog.(i hate dogs too)

I've met just as many men scared of snakes as women.
If someone doesn't want to date you because of the pet you have, thats not a person you should be dating anyway. By all means, if the subject of "Do you have any pets?" comes up be honest, but "Hey, I have a 14 foot bunny eating python" is not exactly pick up line material

I've had a python, snakes don't scare me.
I wouldn't want to get involved with anyone who hated dogs and cats though. It's fine if someone isn't in to a particular animal, but to actually hate them is another story.
